John Bechtel is an experienced and skilled fly-fisherman, with a knowledge of Pennsylvania streams that only a native can possess. John introduced me to these streams and to the techniques required to fish them successfully. Because I’m a Westerner, used to a different type of fishing, John’s introduction has proven invaluable. Thanks to him, I have come to love fishing in Pennsylvania as much as I love fishing in any other region of the US. I recommend him highly as a guide to anyone who really wants to enjoy his or her time on Pennsylvania’s fabled and very productive streams.

The day my son Jacob and I had fly-fishing with you was one of the best days of our lives. The thrill of seeing my son catching trout and learning about the fly-fishing sport with you, priceless. I had a day I will never forget, your knowledge and friendly demeanor teaching and guiding is unmatched. If any potential client wants to contact me, that's fine. Thanks again and give your wife, son and grandchildren our best.
